How Full Is The Lake does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner. We only use what is strictly necessary: a few display preferences saved in your own browser after you choose them, and security cookies that Cloudflare may set to protect the site. Visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) work without cookies and store nothing in your browser.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser and that are sent back to the server on each visit. Local storage is a similar space in your browser, but its contents stay on your device and are never sent to our server. We use local storage, not cookies.

The local storage entries are created only when you use the theme button, the sort options or the filters. They contain no personal data, never leave your browser (our server cannot read them) and are not used to identify or follow you.
Why we do not ask for consent
EU rules (ePrivacy Directive, art. 5(3)) and Spanish law (LSSI, art. 22.2, and the guidance of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, AEPD) exempt from consent the storage that is strictly necessary for a service you request or for its security, such as Cloudflare's security cookies, and the preferences you choose yourself, such as the theme. We use nothing else.
Third parties
We load no advertising, third-party fonts or tracking scripts. Cloudflare adds a small script for cookie-free visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), which stores nothing in your browser. Apart from that and Cloudflare's security cookies listed above, the only external service is the map on the Texas page: its background tiles come from OpenStreetMap's servers, which do not set cookies through this site (checked on October 28, 2026) but receive your IP address and browser details, as any website you load does. How to delete or block them
You can delete this site's stored data at any time from your browser settings, usually under "site data" or "cookies and site data". Instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. If you block storage, the site still works: it just will not remember your choices.
Changes
If we ever add advertising or analytics that use cookies, we will ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie and we will update this page. The date at the top shows the last change.
